The daily reality of thousands of separated parents

Does this sound familiar?

After a separation, tracking children's expenses quickly becomes a source of tension. Not out of bad faith - simply because there was never a neutral tool built for it.

Receipts go missing

The dentist's bill is in a drawer somewhere, the back-to-school receipt was thrown away. Six months later, there's no way to prove anything.

"I already paid you back for that"

Who paid for the camp? Was the reimbursement ever made? Without a reliable record, every money conversation turns into an argument.

The Sunday-night spreadsheet

Copying amounts into Excel, chasing receipts, recalculating shares by hand: hours lost, and mistakes that cost real money.

Features

Everything you need to document with peace of mind

Every Kidivi feature has one purpose: replacing tense discussions with clear, dated, verifiable facts.

1

Log an expense in 10 seconds

Open the app, photograph the receipt: framing is automatic, the amount and date are recognised instantly, and a category is even suggested (school meals, medical, sport, clothing...). Text recognition runs entirely on your phone - the receipt is never sent anywhere to be read.

Attach the expense to one or more children, confirm: it's filed, dated, and categorised.

2

Ordinary vs extraordinary expenses - finally kept apart

Kidivi is built around your custody agreement or court order. Day-to-day costs (school meals, clothing, health insurance) and extraordinary expenses (orthodontics, camps, school trips) are kept separate, exactly as your agreement sets out.

  • Configurable split percentage: 50/50, 60/40, 70/30...
  • A different split can apply to extraordinary expenses
  • The split applied is frozen at the time of the expense: a later change never rewrites the past
3

A balance that's always clear, in both directions

The home screen tells you at a glance who owes what to whom, factoring in every expense, its split, and any reimbursements already made. Full detail is available by month, by child and by category.

And to settle up: pay in one tap, via a pre-filled bank transfer (with a QR code to scan in your banking app) or through PayPal. The balance updates instantly, and the transaction is tracked like everything else.

4

Notified at every step, without watching the app

In shared mode, notifications keep you up to date in real time: an expense added by the other parent, an acceptance, a dispute. A dedicated "Awaiting your response" screen groups everything that concerns you, so nothing gets forgotten.

No spam: only events from your case, and you choose what triggers a notification.

5

Proof, not memories

Every expense is timestamped and locked the moment it's created. Need to fix a mistake? The correction creates a new version: the original stays in the history, nothing ever disappears. Even a cancellation leaves a trace.

Every receipt photo gets a digital fingerprint (SHA-256) computed on your phone before any compression: your receipt stays verifiable, years later.

6

Solo or shared - both work perfectly

In solo mode, document everything unilaterally, without asking anyone: every entry is timestamped and locked, and a clear summary can be sent to the other parent. Ideal when communication is difficult - or simply to keep your own records straight.

In shared mode, invite the other parent with a simple code. They see the expenses on the shared case and accept or dispute them using neutral, predefined reasons. No back-and-forth messaging, no blame - just facts. And it's free for the person you invite.

7

Refer other parents, earn a month of Premium

Know another separated parent struggling with receipts? Share your personal referral code: as soon as they subscribe to the annual plan, you get one month of Premium free. Stackable with each new referral.

Sharing only happens through your phone's native share menu (SMS, WhatsApp, email...): it's never sent automatically to your contacts. This is separate from inviting your co-parent to your shared case, which stays free.

8

A case file ready for your lawyer or mediator

In one tap, export a flawless chronological PDF: summary, a table of every expense with the split applied and the amount due line by line, balance, status of each expense, and receipts attached with their digital fingerprint.

Filter by period, by child or by category. The document is generated on your phone, even offline, and shares like any other file.

9

Your data belongs to you. Full stop.

Kidivi collects the strict minimum: your children's first name and birth year, nothing else. Without an account, everything stays on your phone. With an account, your data is hosted in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest.

  • No ads, no advertising identifiers, no data resale
  • No geolocation
  • Full export and account deletion in two taps, directly in the app
  • Your balance and receipts stay accessible even without a subscription

Frequently asked questions

Everything you're wondering about

Is Kidivi free?

Yes. The free plan covers one child and 5 expenses per month, including receipt scanning, balance tracking and history. Kidivi Premium (£4.99/month or £39.99/year, with a 14-day free trial) unlocks unlimited children and expenses plus full PDF export. A single subscription covers both parents on a case: the other parent pays nothing.

Does the other parent also need to install the app?

No. Solo mode lets you document every expense on your own: each entry is timestamped and locked, and a clear summary can be sent to the other parent. If they join the case later with the invite code, the full history is already there - and it's free for them.

What is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary expenses?

Ordinary expenses are day-to-day costs: school meals, clothing, health insurance. Extraordinary expenses are one-off, exceptional costs - orthodontics, camps, school trips - as typically defined in a custody agreement or court order. Kidivi keeps the two separate and applies its own split percentage to each, exactly as set out in your agreement.

How is each parent's share calculated?

You set the split percentage for the case (50/50 by default, or 60/40, 70/30...), with a different split available for extraordinary expenses if needed. Each expense records the split that applied at the time it was created: changing the split later never rewrites the past. The balance updates in real time.

Am I notified when the other parent adds or disputes an expense?

Yes. In shared mode, a notification tells you about new expenses, acceptances and disputes. A dedicated screen groups everything waiting for your response, so nothing slips through.

Do my receipts hold up in a dispute?

Every expense is timestamped and locked: a correction creates a new version and the original stays in the history. Every receipt photo gets a SHA-256 digital fingerprint calculated before any compression. The PDF export presents everything chronologically and verifiably. Kidivi is a documentation tool: it does not replace a lawyer or mediator.

Where is my children's data stored?

Without an account, everything stays on your phone, including receipt reading. With an account, data is saved on servers located in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest. Kidivi collects only the minimum - children's first name and birth year - shows no ads, and you can export or delete everything at any time. Details in our Privacy Policy.

Does Kidivi work without an internet connection?

Yes. The app works offline-first: you can scan and save expenses anywhere. Syncing with the other parent happens automatically as soon as your connection returns.

Is Kidivi designed for a specific country?

No. Kidivi is a generic documentation tool built to work with any custody agreement or court order, in any country: ordinary/extraordinary split, configurable split percentage, and support for 20 currencies. It does not replace a lawyer, mediator, or local legal advice - it simply gives both parents a shared, neutral record of what was spent and by whom.

How does the referral programme work?

In Settings, every account has a personal referral code. Share it via your phone's share menu: as soon as the person you referred subscribes to the annual plan, you get one month of Premium free, stackable with each new referral. This does not apply to your co-parent, whose invitation to your shared case stays free separately.

When will the app be available?

Kidivi is coming very soon to Google Play for Android. This page will be updated with the download link as soon as it's published.

The first expense takes 10 seconds to scan.
